In this chapter, Ruchiko continues her discussion of the New Year with her friends. She tells them that she will not go back to school and that she wants to work on her thesis and state exam so she will be able to pass. She also tells them about the upcoming Christmas, which will be their last Christmas as college students. She says that her mother sent her a "crying sticker" and that they should visit next year. They decide that they will go to a restaurant and eat all the food they ordered. They also discuss the fact that they are going to have a big party and that their planner is full of notes from last year's party. They discuss how they will have to clean up their clothes since they have so much to wear. They talk about how they don't have enough food for the party and how they have to borrow food from friends instead of buying their own food.
