It's Valentine's Day, and we're introduced to two new characters: Shu-Liang and Sakurako. The first introduces us to the two young men, who are about to embark on their senior year of high school. Shu-Ling is excited about the upcoming trip, but he's also worried that he'll forget to buy his girlfriend some chocolate on the day of the big event. He's worried that she'll think that he doesn't care about her, and that he just wants to buy her something on a whim. Shu and Saku--whom we'll call "Sakurako" in this chapter--are both worried about getting their passports stamped for their upcoming trip to Europe, and they're both worried that they'll have to take pictures of themselves in order to do so. They're also worried about their driver's licenses, since Saku has not seen Shu--or Ruri, as they call her--in a long time.
