In this short scene, Hirohito and Enos discuss the situation at the air base. They are aware of the fact that the base is too low, but they do not know what to do about it. Enos sees a picture of a high-speed, long-range military aircraft on the side of the aircraft, which he believes to be the same type of aircraft that sato was on when he left the base. He also sees that there is a new order for everyone to detain all restrained humans, and he instructs them to begin preparing for rations with drawal. They decide to go after sato and make sure that he and his allies are secure, but Enos is not convinced. He wonders why they did not go after him when they saw that the aircraft was on the other side. He realizes that he has done the right thing by meeting with the man.
