In this chapter, the soldiers discuss how they're going to kill the Bastard. They don't know how to do it, but they've got a plan. They can keep killing him, or they can try to capture him. The soldiers are lying, they say, because they haven't killed anyone yet. The Bastard says he's not going to be intimidated by the soldiers' lies. He's going to do what's right for him. He doesn't care if they kill him or capture him, he just wants to do his job.
