The chapter opens with a flashback to August 6th, when Hirokazu was confined to a cell for a month. Two days later, he returned to the cell alone. He tells the others that he was outside when he first escaped, but that they keep the story a secret because he is afraid he will be killed if he does so. He asks if anyone can lead him back to his family, but they refuse to believe him. He says that he will fight three on two, but he does not want to see an unfair fight. He wants to know if anyone has helped him escape, but no one has. He wonders if he is getting any money from him, and he asks if his girlfriend is getting annoyed by the fact that he is not waking her up. The chapter ends with a soliloquy about how he will fix one of his legs if he ever needs it.
