In this chapter, the father tells his son's story. When the war ended, he was back in Seattle, and the military told him about the mission to find his son. He was shocked to learn that the four men would be involved in the operation, and that they would be able to recover his son without being able to do so. The father thanks the police for their help, and thanks God for giving his son a second chance in life. The minister orders the police to cease all activity, and they have to find a new client.
