The disembodied voice of Dr. Barlow is heard in the background. He is the voice of a man who has been killed in a car accident. Dr. Bledsoe, the doctor, tells the man that he is a demi-human and that he has the ability to send out black ghosts. He explains that demi humans are immortal and that they are able to create a black ghost even when they are dead. He also explains that the mark left by the ghost can be seen even to humans when they have a strong emotion aimed at them. He asks the man how he is able to worry about others. The man replies that he does not worry about anyone because he has never seen any pain that is not his own
