The man recognizes the man as a demi-human, and he is about to run away when he hears someone calling for help. He calls for an ambulance, but the men are too quick to respond, and the man is injured. He realizes that he has lost his only edge: he has not yet been found alive. He wonders if there is a "delightful human" out there, and wonders if the men in black are the same men who ran away from him on the train.
