The narrator tells us that he's decided to give up his child. He's in love with Aaron, and he doesn't want it to go to waste. He wants to make sure that Aaron is happy with his decision. He asks Aaron if he ever loved someone, and Aaron says that he saved Jason's life because he was comfortable with his wife. Aaron is a businessman, so he always thinks about things in his own interest. Aaron tells him that if he divorces his wife, it means that the other women are challenging his authority, and that means that they're challenging his family and his life.
