He says that even his mother is a devoted fan of the surgeon, and that she'd "bring her tablet along" to the dinner table if someone dared interrupt her with the "pretty boy" . The surgeon calls the narrator and asks him to come and watch the surgery. He tells the narrator that the surgery has just ended and that he can't go home yet because he has to go back to work. He asks the narrator to send him a text message when he gets home, but the narrator doesn't know what to say, so the narrator tells him to calm down and not to tell anyone.
