About This Chapter
The next morning, Tomor Rouncewell tells his father that he has figured out what happened the night before. He says that Akira's plan was to get everyone to turn themselves in, and that the telephone guy "hijacked" the plan. He explains that the phone call was different from what Akira had planned, because the caller was more concerned with the safety of the group than with his own safety. If Akira wanted to "turn himself in," he could have done so by himself, but he could not because he would have spilled all of their secrets. So now that they know what happened, they can figure out why Akira killed both of them.
