The next morning, the students swear that they will be true to one another no matter what happens to them. One of the students, shintaro, wakes up the other students and tells them that he had a strange dream the night before and that they should not be too late for the morning assembly. The morning assembly begins, and the students discuss the upcoming summer break and the upcoming exams. The president of the student council tells the students that he thinks that akira is too much of a student to be allowed to stay on as a student council president. He says that he could never have chosen him because he defies all the administration and acts like nothing has happened. The other students wonder why shintaro is acting like shin is the light of their lives. They wonder why akira won't have time for them, and they wonder if he fought some crazy crows for them earlier.
