The next morning, Haruka, Tachibana, and the others go to the cave to dig up the remains of Miladyo, who has been buried there for five years. Haruka is pleased to see that the remains are not exposed to the elements. She is also pleased that the corpse is still young and healthy. She asks the others if they would like to see her again next year, and they all agree that they would. They also talk about how they have kept up the "kidney ritual" for so long, and how shintaro is still surrounded by such an incredible star that he remains "surrounded by such incredible power" . They are pleased that they have no shame about the fact that they were together for a short time, and Haruka tells them that they are lucky to have him as a "prude" because he is "such a prude." Haruka also tells them about the incident with shintaro, saying that it had to have been "stupid and awful" for him to have said such a thing. The others are impressed by Haruka's modesty, and she thanks them all for taking her home. She says that if she had run into shintaro now, she would have to go up to him to check on the remains, but she knows that shintaro will not doubt her words.
