Jiming's pulse is beating wildly, and his hands are frozen. He's already dead, and the evil spell that he's cast on the demon is still there. Jiming asks if it's possible that the spell will only be broken if he kills Jiming personally. He says that if he hadn't killed Jiming, the spell would have already been broken out. He also says that he can cure all kinds of diseases, and that he really wants to meet Jiming again in his next life. He tells Jiming that if there's reincarnation, he'd really like to meet him again. If there is, he says, then he'll be able to cure all sorts of difficult diseases. The ghost-creature says that his spell will kill both of them, and if not, they should die together. He asks Jiming not to interrupt him, and Jiming says that the only thing he can do now is to protect Jiming. He adds that if they don't die together, they'll both be punished by heaven for turning against the path of heaven. He doesn't know what happened, but he can't stop Jiming from killing himself. He wants to know why the shadow sword is blocking heaven's thunder, but Jiming won't tell him. They'll fight, but their wounds will keep them from killing each other.
