In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character, the "phantom butterfly" . We are told that the phantom butterflies are "feeding on hostility" , and that they are feeding on the fact that the "poison pool" is full of hostile butterflies. The two of them decide to use their hostility to "irriterate the poison pool"
