About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the emperor wants to see his son again. He's worried about the phantom butterfly, and he wants to make sure that his son is safe in the world. The emperor is also worried that the world is in danger without the emperor's protection. The only thing that can save the emperor is his son's blood, and the only way to do so is for the son to sacrifice his soul to save the world from the monster clan. The son says that he's grateful for his life, but he doesn't want to thank the emperor for taking his life. He says that it was the son who brought him to the world, and that he expects him to thank him for his death. The boy says he'll take a fallen petal sword, but the fallen sword won't hurt him. The fallen sword isn't going to hurt the emperor, he says, so the two of them have to retreat. The mother of the monster family is the hostess at the banquet hall, and she's the one who's supposed to be the hostess of this banquet. He tells the boy that he can't leave the world without his father's permission. He also tells him that the only two people who will be hurt by the fallen flower sword are himself and the son. He asks the boy to tell him a secret, so he can use it to help him escape from his fate. The secret is that the blood of the relatives of the emperor cannot cure the butterfly's poison. So, the son has to tell the emperor something before he can leave. He wants to know why the son didn't tell him anything.
