The demon tells the boy that he can't forget the pepper-room, because it's his "human custom" to do so. He tells him that the demon has a different physical appearance than the boy, and that he's sorry that he doesn't have a chance to try it out. The boy says that the pepper room isn't his cup of tea, but he'll try it anyway. The demon says that if the door is opened, the thunder and lightning spell will hit the door, and the demon will be hurt. He gives the boy seven lightning bolts to use as a lightning bolt, and tells him to "remember not to touch" the bolt.
