It's a late afternoon, and two men are walking along the path that leads to the mountains from outside of town. It sounds like the man who's buried some treasure in the mountain needs help digging it out. The men offer a silver coin to the beggar who follows them. The beggar doesn't believe that he's going to be paid, but the men hurry him to the mountain. They find the beggar trembling with a bowl of water in his hand, and they hurry him back to the city. They hurry the beggar to the top of the mountain, where they find a giant ginseng that looks like an old woman. The giant ginseng catches several small animals, some have died, but some are still breathing. The ginseng stares at the man, who is devastated, but as he struggles harder, the tentacles will wrap him tighter. The tentacles also roll up the man's neck, and then he begins to breathe harder. Suddenly, the ginseng's tentacles join the force and drag the half-dead man to its heel. The place where the man touched the ginseng suddenly emitted a white smoke, and the ginseng looses the tentacles, as it feels the pain and the tough man finally breathes in some air. After pushing the man away, he confronts those snake-like tentacles himself, and he shows the man what he got: a bamboo tube filled with a flammable substance called xiong-huang powder. The bamboo tube is filled with the substance, but it's engulfed by flames.
