The next morning, yani and the young man go to the property manager's office to report their encounter with the snake man. The manager doesn't buy the snake, so the young men go to another part of town to find out what happened. An old doorkeeper there tells them that the man they saw the previous night also lives in the town where they live. The doorkeeper also says that he saw some bottles and boxes of food in the trash can next to the building where they were staying the night before. The young men ask the doorkeeper if he ever met the man, and he says he did, but that he didn't know the man well enough to tell them the man's name. They go to his house and find out that he lives alone, and that the two men persuaded him not to kill their business. The snake man eats the bottles and spits out a scarlet tongue, which makes people feel scared.
