In this chapter, we learn that a little boy named Nemo has gone to visit his cousin, a beautiful, twenty-year old woman who is studying at a top school. Nemo's cousin is a little girl named Lily, who has a very strong personality, and she wants to go to a nearby indoor ski slope. She drags the little boy away from the school, where he is staying with his father. The little boy is very upset that his father has taken his snowboard and left him at home alone. He tells his cousin that he hasn't played the sport since Christmas because his ball told him it was too lonely. He explains that his classmates are very nice to him, and they even want to spend the Christmas holiday with him. He also reveals that his cousin has fallen in love with a cute little leopard.
