The other child, a boy named Ren, receives a gift of his own, but he is disappointed that he did not receive a gift from the panda. He is also disappointed that the panda received a gift that was specially made for a boy. The two children exchange gifts and the panda wins. He also receives an apple and a love letter, which he plans to pass on to Ren.
