Sitting upright, the narrator calls his first friend, a classmate named Ren. He's so nervous that he asks Ren if she'd like to go to an amusement park with him. Ren says she can't, because she's a phone scammer. The narrator tells Ren that he'll meet her at the amusement park the next day at 10 a.m. Ren's mom comes out of the house to greet her son, who's dressed up like a suitor in order to show her gratitude for inviting her to the house. Ren tells her mom that the suitor came dressed up in a suit to show his gratitude for her invitation. Ren is so happy that her mom has already tried to woo her, and she wants to do the same. She wants to go on a roller coaster, but Ren is too small to ride on the mini-coaster on the opposite side of the ride, so she'll have to ride the giant roller coaster instead. Ren thinks this is a good idea, since it's slow-misattribution-of-arousal, which means that when a man and a woman are in danger of falling in love, they should go to the other's amusement park instead of the haunted house where they'd be more likely to fall in love. Ren agrees to go by herself, since she is afraid of ghosts. Ren confesses that she has written all of her feelings on a piece of paper, and Ren is annoyed that she hasn't been able to read it yet. Ren thanks her friend for inviting
