After seven years in the forest, Dai finally returns to his old home. He tells his teacher that the place is as beautiful as ever, and that it will always be his home. When the teacher asks where he is, he is told that he has left a note for his disciple, who will inherit all of Dai's property if he ever runs into him. He also tells his disciple that he left him a gift in the place where the soul's body is kept.
