About This Chapter

The boy wonders if he has killed less people now that he is not a bad person. He wonders if there is something on his body that hurts him. He asks to be brought back to his room so that he can rest. He tells his uncle that he has been working too hard and needs to eat something. He says that he will die if the boy leaves him and the other alchemists before he returns. He adds that the holy water is expensive and that he was poisoned for his carelessness. He explains that he believes he has found his true self again. He believes that he belongs to an elite group of alchemists. He feels sad that his teacher isn't with him right now, but he says that the teacher is wonderful. The only problem is that he doesn't have the money to buy the potion. He takes the teacher's money one day and says he wants to stay with the teacher forever.
