In the forest, the red-clothed bishop of the Church of the Holy Land tries to summon the help of nature, but it is too late. He is unable to find his daughter, who is in the territory of an elf clan. The bishop explains that he is the father of the girl, and that he has managed to stop her from entering the "death range" in time. He tells the bishop that he must return the sword that had been used to aid the elves in the fight against the thief guild.
