The chapter opens with a description of spirit power. It's a magical force that exists in all living things, including humans. It can be used by calamity spirits, demon spirits, and special people who need to be stimulated to use their powers. They're called "spirit power users" and they're the ones who can use this power to their advantage. There are also special cases in which people can use their special physiques to attract evil spirits and cause them to do evil things. For example, if you have a "extreme yin" physique, you're going to have a lot of trouble getting evil spirits to do good things for you. The chapter ends with a discussion of the five directions of the spirit altar. It turns out that the altar is in the middle of a corridor, so they'll have to destroy the other four altars as well. They can't just walk through the corridor, though, because the other altars have to also be destroyed. They have to find a way to get to the altars without disrupting the flow of evil spirits. They don't have a choice, though: they have to do it.
