In this chapter, we meet the siblings of a mountain man. They're called "Siblings with a Mountain Man" because they share the same last name, and they're also called "Whitesnake" because of the color of their skin. The siblings discuss how they've learned to use qi gong to ward off calamity spirits, and how they don't think they'll be able to handle all of this by themselves. They also discuss the fact that their host, the mountain man, is still alive, despite all of the blood he's already vomited. They wonder why they can't just accept their fate, since humans are fragile creatures.
