In this chapter, the brothers discuss their encounter with the mountain man. The brothers have been waiting for the man to arrive, and now that he has not, they decide to play with him for a bit. They argue about whether or not they should have agreed to a one-on-one fight, and when the man does show up, they accuse him of being the one who has been cheating. They also argue that the man is too dangerous to be defeated by them alone, and that he should be brought back down to earth so that they can continue their fight. When the man appears, they argue again, and this time, the man's face is covered with a "broken nose and buried face" . He tells the brothers that they should reflect on how they treated him, and he asks why they haven't asked him first. He asks if they want to complete the "god summoning project" , and the brothers reply that it's unimportant, and they should just decide who will win. The man responds that he is a god, but the brothers argue that it sounds like a "little homophionic" sound . They decide that they need to get the man back so that he can continue his fight.
