About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the strongest barrier between a calamity spirit and the rest of humankind is its ability to lose its mind. When the calamity spirit loses his mind, he will be filled with thoughts of killing or doing harm. The strongest barrier is the "syllable yang barrier" , which is the barrier between the spirit's lower body and the outside world. This barrier is so strong that the spirit cannot break it. In this case, it is the lower body that is in the ground. The lower body is in a weakened state, and the spirit is unable to move. The school rules allow the spirit to gain energy by using his lower body as a barrier. This allows him to regain control of his body. The other students are in the same state, but they are unable to communicate with the spirit. They are forced to write reflections on their lives, which the school uses to brainwash the students. They cannot allow the students to finish writing their reflections, and they will be forced to become machines.
