In this chapter, we learn that the ogre has been trying to get his mother to come back to the city, but she has refused. The town has run out of food, and the only way to get it back is to take it from the castle. The only thing the town can do is to raid the castle, but the ogre says he'll do whatever he can to get back to his mother. The townsfolk are coming for them, he says, and they're about to kill them. He says that his mother is about to get revenge for what she's done to him, and that the townsfolk are acting like victims. The ogre says that he's been waiting for his mother's "day of judgment" . When he was an incarnate, he realized that the town was hell, but it was his only place to live, so he decided to give his mother a push.
