In the meantime, the incarnates have been fighting with the other incarnates, and they've managed to kill one of them. They've also managed to capture the other incarnate, who's still hiding out in the woods. The incarnate captain, however, doesn't want to be captured, and he's not going to let anyone else capture him. He's going to kill him if he becomes a beast, and if that happens, he'll kill him.
