About This Chapter
The incarnates are grateful to the humans for saving them from the monster. They're also fighting to take their own back from the southerners, who stole it. They need food and booze, though, and if they don't comply with their orders, the deal is off. The two of them talk about how they're the bosses of the town, and how everyone in town is the same. They talk about rumors that one of the northern soldiers is going to kill the incarnate soldiers, and that the northerners are using him as a trapper. They also talk about the fact that their father was a greedy, old miser, who gave his life to the northern army in order to protect the mine. He got swindled by the southern soldiers, who mistook him for a fool.
