In this chapter, we learn that the primordial spirit has been living in the world for thousands of years. The two of them have been together ever since, and now they have a chance to save each other. They decide to go back to the old palace, which has been abandoned by the King. The King is busy in the garden, and he rarely visits the palace. The dream is interrupted by the sound of a child's crying, and the King realizes that it is the day he is going to bury his beloved rabbit. He realizes that his father wants him to kill the rabbit himself, and that he will be angry if he learns of it. He asks the King if he would like a tombstone for white, to remember him as a friend, and to say that he is sad about the rabbit's death, but that he wants to accomplish great things in his life, such as becoming the heavenly emperor. He wants to kill as many people as he can, but he can't because he doesn't have the money to do so. He begs the King to let him go, but the King refuses, saying that he has already done all the things he wanted to do.
