In this chapter, we learn that the prince has decided to sign a "blood contract" with the ghost. He wants the ghost to become his "ghost slave" and serve him eternally. The prince tells the ghost that he will give him time to consider the terms of the contract. He says that he has no condition, but that he wants to seal the contract first with his blood and soul. As a "humble ghost" , he will be his master for eternity, and as a "slave for eternity" he will serve the prince. The king has grown taller, with an intimidating aura. The altar is completed, and the king and eleven other ancient gods inspected it. Finally, the king has decided that the date of his first sacrifice ceremony will be the night of the ceremony. The ghost tells the prince that he heard that the king didn't drink so much that night, and that he doesn't need a toast. He asks the ghost if he would be disappointed in him if he were to change his mind and become completely different from the prince one day
