The phoenix tells the little one that he has brought food and straws to make the hut more comfortable for him. The little one is disappointed that the creator hasn't loved him, but the phoenix assures him that they are the true gods, and that they stand above everything. He also says that he's been trying to find out about the creator for a long time, but has only gotten nothing. He wants to see the creator again, but he also wants to be his wife. He says he can crush the creator with just his little finger. He's collected many herbs and elixirs for him, and he wants to build a nest so that they can live together once the creator is gone. He pulls a feather from his body, which contains the moon's and sun's essence. The phoenix says that the feather is the only thing on his body that's gold, so he'll use it to make a nest for the two of them. He tells the boy that he saved his life, and the boy is willing to help him. He asks the boy if he plans to hatch the egg. The boy says that it's a phoenix, and it took 30,000 years for the previous phoenix to die. The new one was violent and bloodthirsty, and so he thinks that the boy should grow up fast.
