He knows that jiuchen is capable of revealing the past, present, and future, and he knows that the place is at "the brink of collapse" . The only remaining person in the world is the demon king. The altar will collapse, and all living things on earth will perish. He doesn't deserve to be sacrificed as an offering, since he's a vicious demon. He's not reincarnated, and as a human being, he'd rather die than be reborn as a demon. Before he leaves, he asks the demon to go out of sorrow, but not to harm his father.
