The tao tells the demon beast that the boundary between the two sects has been crossed. The demon beast wants the tao's help in breaking the seal between them. He wants to know how the demon king came back from his exile and how he has been living in seclusion ever since. He asks the demon to tell him how the phantom-feather sect has been keeping him in suspicion, and how they have been harboring malicious intent toward him. The beast tells him that he is afraid that they know this, and that they must take down everyone in the sect and seal the spirit power. He tells the beast that he will not get angry with him, because he knows that the previous life was very hard, and he wants to be happy in this new life. He promises the demon not to run away, and promises to let him stay in the room for a while. He says he will take a nap, and when he wakes up, he will look at the number of seals around him. He wonders if the demon is sleeping, and wonders if he has fallen into someone else's trap. He decides to go home and ask what he thinks is going on.
