This chapter opens with a flashback to the events of the previous chapter, in which Cai Mingyu is captured by the devils and taken to the underworld, where he is tortured and killed. He is brought back to the mainland by his master, who has brought him back with him. The two men discuss the nature of the beast, and Cai tells the story of how he came to be captured. He tells the tale of how, when he was a child, he was taken away from his home by a demon, and when he came back, he found that his father had been taken prisoner by the same demon who had taken him away. He asks the two men if they can help him, and they both agree that they can. They also agree that the demon who captured the man must be the same one who captured Cai Mingyuan, and that the two of them must work together to rescue the man.
