The girl says that she's having her fasting too, so she'll give him some. She tells him to give her some, but the boy tells her not to worry about him. He's not going to die, he says, because he just wants everyone to know what he and the other creatures did for the world. He adds that he wrote it into the book so that no one would ever talk about his father again. The child fox says that something went wrong with the river, and that the bodies are just a kid. The next fan tells the child that he has tried everything, but he can't figure out who they are.
