In this chapter, the narrator tells us that the world is full of contradictions, and that money is just one of them. He says that he just saw the entire new line of women's clothing at an exhibition and that he almost bought one of the pieces, but he doesn't know how it could influence his brand. The narrator also tells us about the company records that the company makes, and he wonders if they'll ever be used at a job fair. He also says that big companies are just like the monster in the legend of the Chinese monster. He suggests that they all buy some of the new clothes and sell them at the same price as the ones they made at the exhibition.
