Hiroshi and his sister are in the middle of a shopping expedition. They're looking for a place to eat, and they run into Hiroshi's friend, who's also in the group. Hiroshi asks if he can speak English, and Hiroshi replies that he can, but he doesn't know how to. He's not sure if he's talking to a foreigner or a Japanese person, and he wonders what the foreigner is talking about. He also asks if the foreigner's hair is long from China, and if it's from the han emperor's family. The two of them decide to go to the exhibition, which Hiroshi has never been to before, and to have a little chat. They talk about how they've been going to kimono shows before, but they haven't been to an exhibition like this before, so they don't really know what's going on. They also talk about the fact that they're on their way to a doll exhibition, and that Hiroshi is a doll expert. They decide to have dinner at a restaurant, and then Hiroshi says he'll carry a leaf from the exhibition for them. He asks if his sister is helping her at school, and she says she's been helping her big sister because she thinks her little sister is a kid. She also says that her dad helped her when he thought her sister was a kid, because he thought that she was a "kid" . They agree to stay at the exhibition until Hiroshi arrives to take them back to the train station, where they'll be able to catch a ride home.
