In this chapter, we learn that the three of them have been hiding out in the woods, and that they've been planning to kidnap the young men and take them to a secret location. The young men, however, don't want to go because they're afraid of what they'll find if they do. They're also afraid that the authorities will find out about the kidnapping and arrest them for tax evasion.
