The scene opens with a soliloquy by Imogen, who has been fired from her job as an artist director. She tells her employer that there is nothing wrong with her work and that she will not be dismissed. She accuses her employer of misappropriating money to fill a budget gap in the green company. The boss tells her that he gave her the authority to deal with the matter, but she is not satisfied. She asks if there is anything else to discuss today, and the boss replies that he has nothing else to say. Imogen asks if she can come to her directly, and she tells him that she has not thought about returning to the company since she was fired. She says that if he does not let the company go, she will never come back, but if he provokes her all the time, she wont come back. She threatens to get the money back if he continues to provoke her. She then tells him to ask the general manager of the company to report to her in an hour, and if she does not accept, then she will have to come to him in person. He agrees
