In this short scene, Natsume tries to run away from the shrine of the fire festival, but she is caught in the crossfire of her attackers. She is unable to escape, however, and is forced to kill the man who has abducted her. She wishes that she could have licked the poison one last time, but the man is still alive. She begs the men to kill him, and they do.
