In this chapter, we learn that Hiroshi's parents should have called him "brutish" instead of "stomach" , because he's been beating people up lately. We also learn that all of the guys at school are starting to beat each other up because they're afraid of what other guys will do to them if they get smacked in the face. Hiroshi, however, doesn't care. He just wants to snap a few pictures of himself in front of the mirror. He's bored, so he decides to take a bunch of pictures of the boys in his class. One girl in the class asks him if he'd like a picture of her, and he says yes. He also tells her that he'll be joining the dating pool, and she asks him to go with her because she wants a nice photo of him. He tells her she's a fool to ask him to do this, and that he won't be taking over as the new guy in town. He says that he thought he was always going to be in town, but now he wants to be "painted by those bold, natural colors" .
