The next morning, Hayashi asks what's going on. He's not sure what to say, but he's pretty sure that it's about the rape. Hayashi says he'd rather die than testify in court, so he doesn't want to tell anyone about it. He also says that Hayase is the worst person in the world, because she's just using him for gossip. He tells Hayashi that he can have the photo back. He says he was going to throw it out, but that's when he realized that she'd beat up Hayase for talking about him behind his back. Hayase tells him that he should do something for his classmates, like take pictures of them for the yearbook. He promises that if this happens, he'll take the pictures himself. He asks Hayase to deliver the pictures to his place, but Hayase says that'll be a waste of his time. He thinks that if he can just laugh at it, he can forget about the whole thing.
