Back at the inn, Ho Chi min tries to convince himself that he's going to make it back to the school on time. He's worried about what's happened to his friend, but he also wants to make sure that Ho Chi isn't going to betray him. Ho Chi says that he loves Ho Chi, and he wants Ho Chi to tell him how much he loves him. He wants to know if Ho Chi is going to take the exam to be a teacher at a public school, and Ho Chi tells him to put down his writing and prepare for the exam.
