In this short scene, Hirokazu's mother tells her son that he's been locked out of the house by the authorities, and that she's worried about him. She tells him that he should go home and take care of his sister, who's pregnant. Hiroko's father, however, is worried about his son, too. He's also worried about the fact that his wife is pregnant, and he doesn't want his son to have to live with her. He tells his son not to worry about his sister's pregnancy, because she'll be fine. He also tells Hiroko not to mention that he borrowed money from the authorities to buy food for his son. He says he'll buy Hiroko some food to eat, and Hiroko should come home and pick up his sister.
