About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the two girls have been going to school together for a while now, and that the girl is finally ready to open up about her feelings for the boy. She tells us that she wants to make sure that everyone in her group does their homework and eats well on the trip, so that they can get a good meal on the return trip. She also tells us about how the two boys have been pranking her since they got back together, so she's careful not to say anything to them at school. The girl also says that she doesn't want to talk to the boy at school because he's busy with his club stuff. She's also worried about the girl from the berry cafe, who's there, because she looks like a total waste of her time at the school. She says she'd like to change her clothes, but she can't because of the girl's makeup and the fact that she'll probably be disliked by the girl at the cafe because of her makeup. Finally, the girl says, "I'm hopeless . . because I'm just nothing great ." The girl says she wishes she were beautiful before she was born, and then she says that the only thing that makes her happy is when she sees the girl she loves. She then says that her eyes are covered in a "dark cloud" and that she worries that the boy is trying to get her to marry him.
