In the second half, the amateurs try to get back into the game, but they're unable to do so without the services of their captain, who's out with a shoulder injury. When the captain is out, the rest of the team has to step up and fill his shoes. This is the first time they've ever had to play without the captain, and they feel like they'll have to do something drastic to get the team back in the game.
